Don't think so. Pretty sure a San Antonio court tossed the charges against those who survived the Waco siege.C-dub wrote:Whoa! Is that a first?

Re: Man acquitted after shooting at LEOs
The wording in the article raises questions, but doesn't provide any information....it said: "although jurors never heard about the reasons for or the results of the search warrant, police at the time reported finding meth, drug paraphernalia, and firearms in the home."TVGuy wrote:This guy may have been acquitted on these charges related to firing at officers, but it sounds like he still has others for drugs and illegal firearms.
It may just be oddly worded by the reporter, but the way it's written it sounds like they weren't ever charged with anything related to those items. The jury was never told about any charges, and it doesn't mention that any charges are still pending. That phrase "police at the time reported finding..." sounds like possibly they later changed what they wrote "at the time". It did not say anything about illegal firearms...just firearms.
Hopefully we will hear some follow-up information on the story.

Glad to hear he didn't get shot dead. Good job by the Jury.
