Dead BG used the old pretend to raise the hands in the air and then go for the gun in the waist band trick. Excellent shooting by the officer saved his life. Officer's pant leg was nicked by a bullet. His cruiser was wounded in the shootout, however, but is expected to fully recover.

The officer was named in the link: Andra Wilson.

Although I initially thought of Andra as a female name, the bullets nicked HIS pantleg.

I'm glad he came out victorious in this encounter.
