Don't you just love it when stuff like this makes the headlines on Yahoo news?

My favorite quote is this:
Paul Helmke, president of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, said studies show that as many as 40 percent of firearms sold at gun shows do not involve background checks.
"When there are no background checks, it's a lot easier for someone like the Virginia Tech killer to get guns," Helmke said. "We want to help ATF do its job, and we're glad to see that the inspector general is backing them up in their attempts in the past to crack down on illegal guns."
Okay...well if the guns were sold legally then how are they illegal guns? No background check is required for individual sellers.
Also, the Virginia Tech shooter bought his guns legally, which is highly unusual since most criminals don't. JERKS!!!

That is correct. He bought his Walther P22 from Top Glock. Top Glock sent it to the Pawn Shop in Virginia. So, he had to fill out the form and passed the State and Federal backgound check. He also used 10 round mags in the Walther P22 that he bought off of Ebay. I am not for sure about the Glock mags, but the Anti's cried "High Capacity Mags."stroo wrote:The VT shooter actually passed the background checks.
