It probably was a female and I bet you she taught CHL on the side for all the money they make. ;-)

Church people are scary...especially when they're carrying guns!

Nazrat wrote:I saw a Tyler PD officer on Friday carrying both a handgun and the Taser. The firearm was in its traditional 3:00 spot while the Taser was about 10 to 11 in a crossdraw position. It struck me as odd to carry the Taser crossdraw in a holster so close to the center line.
Cops are taught to carry the Taser cross draw like that for one very good reason. It is too much like a gun and there has already been an incident where an officer thought she was drawing her Taser and drew her pistol instead. Realized it when she heard the bang but it was too late then for the BG. So, we carry them cross draw specifically to avoid having the movement to draw the Taser become confused with the movement to draw the pistol.

Thanks for the info. I had to double take to realize that it was a taser. I hadn't realized that the tasers were that small and had never seen one so close to 12:00 carry. It just looked strange to see a bright silver object with a pistol grip in a crossdraw position on an all black duty belt.
