Question for y’all. I hope I didn’t goof up, but when my daughter was filling out the form for her CHL, she did state that she was seeing a psychiatrist for anxiety. She in is college, I know I had anxiety then, so she has anxiety issues when taking major exams, etc.. Anyhow, I felt she should be upfront and list it., because if DPS found it, then things could be worse.
We got a letter stating that it’s been forwarded to the Medical Advisory Board for review. Here’s the question, had anybody had dealing with the review board and have good results?
Thanks for any advice.

That's a tough one. Having anxiety can make someone's perception of reality be a little off, but if your daughter's is mainly towards test anxiety my guess is that her license will still be granted. Please let us know what happens.

Re: Anxiety issues. Did I goof up?
You told the truth. That's not a goof up.
I think you're asking if anxiety is disqualifying. I don't know the answer to that, it probably depends on other factors.. Almost everyone deals with anxiety.
I see references to denials if a person is actually on medication for treatment. Some of that medication can affect your ability to make decisions.
