I saw the aftermath of this after returning my daughter to her mothers. This is way too close to home.

No indication that anyone is claiming self defense, but, of course, the story lacks major detail. He shoots the man and just waits around to be arrested.

This was an argument between two people who knew each other and ended up in an argument. Sounds to me like the guy may have just lost his temper, then after shooting the other guy knew he was in deep trouble and just waited. He may have been justified if the other guy pulled a weapon, but if this guy instigated the argument, then he may not have justification to defend himself.

This is especially scary given that it happened not in "the bad part of town" or in the wee hours of the morning but rather in regular, middle-class Plano during the evening rush. I've eaten at that Subway before and frequently shop at the Home Depot across the road. I agree with Keith; there aren't enough details to say for sure, but unless the deceased pulled a weapon, this guy's going away for a long time.

I frequent that area as well and drive that road back and forth to work. My biggest fear on these types of events is innocent bystanders getting caught by an errantly slung slug.

Apprently this was an argument between a Pizza Hut worker and his supervisor. They worked at the Pizza hut location across the street from where the shooting took place. The worker shot and killed his boss. He had the gun in his car. Does not say if he was a CHL holder or not.
