Mailbox tomorrow!!!!!

Post by txrealtor »

Tomorrow will be 21 days since I submitted my paperwork. I called Austin on Thursday afternoon and they told me that they mailed off my plastic that afternoon. Needless to say, I will be waiting at the mailbox with the mailman shows up!!!! I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve!!

Think later in the week. "Mailed" means they are waiting for a turtle to carry your plastic to the post office.

I was pulling for you, but I'm also not surprised. You see, DPS uses a bulk mailing service which adds a couple of days.

Wow! I didn't realize that. That explains why I didn't get it yesterday. I cant wait to get home and check the mailbox this evening. Does anyone have a good recommendation on where to look for a good gun belt?

you will get 10 different answers on a good gun belt

comes to how much you want to spend, mostly, and then emotions (of those posting responses).

I have used Crossbreed belts
My Crossbreed was because I had (have still) a Crossbreed holster. Love the Holster, but the belt, after getting better ones, not so much.

Then I was turned on to Blackhawk Belts
Blackhawk has a clearance section (for when they over produce?) - and mine was about $30 and for $30, it was great for a year. If I could have gotten another for that price, I would never have switched to Beltman.

And my current is Beltman belt (beltman.net)
I got my Beltman, with the "stiffener" and am happy I did.
An expensive belt, I think after shipping, it was near $120, but well worth it.

A & G Custom Gun Leather make absolutely superb gun belts.

Be absolutely certain you know how to go about proper sizing and if you don't know, call them at A & G.

They're great folks to do business with.

I think I paid about $80.00 for my belt.

No, that's not inexpensive, but you'll have a belt that will do the job it's meant to do, it'll look and feel great and last a lifetime.

I bought my gunbelt from thebeltman.net back when they were in the early years of starting their business. I still use that belt to this day, nearly 10 years later and it's signs of use is minimal. From the cold of winter to the heat of summer, sweat hasn't deteriorated it and it hasn't stretched much at all if any, although the chrome buckle is a little tarnished now. Stitching is still solid and the black finish is in great condition!

Unfortunately I let my CHL lapse a few years ago and then my wife got her plastic in the mail last week and now I'm having to go through the whole process over again. Submitted everything last Tuesday so now the waiting and anticipation begins, pretty much just like last time. I'm surprised at how excited I am to get my CHL again after having already had it once and letting it lapse. :banghead:

Looks like if you live in Austin the time between delivery and arrival is 3 days. Today will be my 3rd day after it was delivered and I also live in Austin. Hopefully it gets here today as well. If not I can wait a little longer, my aliengear holster hasn't arrived yet so no rush. Odd that my CHL arrived quicker than the holster though :)
