Synopsis:
22 year old HVAC worker uses his day job to scope houses for prescription drugs, then burgles them. One story says he was under electronic monitoring (dunno if ankle or hidden in his car) because of previous burglaries. He takes his 18 year-old brother out to do the dirty work. Driving their dad's car (nice!), they pass up one house because it is obviously occupied, head to another that he had hit before, twice, (and maybe had been arrested for it). Big brother tells younger brother where to find prescription drugs in the house and drops him off at the back of the house to burgle while big brother waits in the car, apparently elsewhere.
Little brother starts banging on window to break it. Fourteen y.o. grandson and grandmother are home. Grandson retrieves gun (unknown type), warns burglar a couple times, and when burglar breaks through window, shoots him. Grandma calls 911. Police find cut window screen, broken glass, and dead burglar on back porch.
Interestingly big brother apparently doesn't' hear the gunshot(s). He gets worried after little brother doesn't return, calls his phone several times, drives around looking, sees police coming, and leaves. Police pick him up later.
Sad footnote: the grandson's father was killed in a robbery when grandson was 8 y.o.
