Not sure if truth or trash, but read elsewhere that his last Facebook post - after shooting the woman - spoke of "putting pigs in a blanket". Some there surmised he wanted to go out looking like a "soldier" rather than a woman basher. Time will tell. In any event, a terrible time for friends and family of the cops.

Maybe you can help me out but I don't understand how they're responsible for a fugitive ambushing officers and then killing himself.

This is how:

And NYPD let DiBlasio know it (he better stay away from those funerals):

Jmra, most all the officers I know keep their windows down partially even during the winter. Makes it easier for them to hear what's going on around them. Being caught by surprise from behind males them pretty much helpless. Apparently, the shooter was pretty handy with a pistol.

Sad and scary indeed. I'm concerned the race baiting riot instigators are going to continue making all of our lives more dangerous.

The gang member who killed them did it in retaliation for Garner. We can also thank the media for fueling the hatred towards police. RIP my brothers.

I sometimes wish every single LEO in these embattled cities would simply drop their badges on the Mayors desk and walk out forever. Let the Politicians and "news inventing media" who have destroyed this country try to put out the fires before the cities are burned to the ground and returned to their natural state of balance, free of all non productive useless humans. This sorry Society we have become doesn't deserve peace or protection.

When you lead a protest march where the marchers are chanting, "What do we want? Dead cops!", you should not be surprised when dead cops is the result.

:iagree: Calling for dead cops exceeds free speech limits IMHO

I can't imagine what the reaction would be if we were to march in protest demanding dead tyrants.

Don't forget their strict anti-2A laws. Really couldn't have happened.

Thanks everyone for the links. I genuinely had no idea and I'm pretty shocked at what I read. I guess I'll have to tune into NY news every once in awhile as I usually avoid it like the plague.
