Another thread got me to thinking

I didn't want to hijack the thread on CHL and house call but I got to thinking---

If you post your home, does that eliminate you from carrying in your own home? Did not see anything to the contrary.

Don't know about you posting your own home but if your wife posts your home it would be wise to pay attention.

You don't need a CHL to carry in your own home, so a 30.06 (which only applies to carrying under authority of a CHL) wouldn't apply to you.

Are you going to call the police to charge yourself with criminal trespass?

30.06 enables a charge of criminal trespass to be brought if (1) you get caught and (2) the owner or operator of the property calls the police. It's not automatic.

Wayyyyy too early in the morning... ;-)

I would probably do it as a joke, and see how many of you carry anyway when you stop by...

On the flip side of this issue...

If I had the money and time to build a "service" oriented business, like say "Steve's Pizza", make it a nice place to come in, sit down and have a nice meal...

That at the front door I would post a "All Concealed Handgun Permit Holders Most Welcome!"

(People with permits from out of state, with reciprical agreements, get a 20% discount!)

The entire wait staff would open carry...

The lay out of the restarant would be condusive to good line of sight and good fire lanes...

Booth seating would have "high" steel plate built into the seat backs for effective cover...

Plasma TV set around the place showing firearm maintenance techniques, competitions, local firearm experts commentary, etc etc...

"More Bang and Pizza for your buck!"

I know...Too early!!!
