Taurus Model 66

Post by Seburiel »

I just added a matched pair of these 'little' beauties to me collection, and I was wondering if the rubber grips can be switched out for wooden ones.

these are the types of grips that I should like:

But, all I can seem to find are the ones with the ergonomic finger slots (which feel *wrong* to me, somehow)
May I be so bold as to ask the gathered boarders their advice in getting myself two sets of these grips?

Thanks a million!

ETA: is there any way to change the adjustable rear sights to fixed?

Grips should be no problem depending on how much you want to pay you can find them on e-bay or do a google for handgun grips. Hogue has an excellent selection of wood grips. I may be wrong but, I think grips for a K frame S&W will fit the Taurus also.

I saw a fixed sight replacement for revolvers somewhere but for the life of me I can't remember where maybe google can help there too.

I agree about the finger groves, I've never found a set of finger groove grips that felt right.

edit: El duh - - - Check Taurus' website they sell grips for thier guns>

I wonder if we could trade :) Hmmm I don't like the wood grips on mine. I have smallish hands and I sweat a lot.
