Grace Period

Post by skystud1 »

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to clarify a few things and would like to rely on the members' expertise. Yesterday was the day before the one year grace period expiration of my CHL. I thankfully realized this and applied for a renewal the same afternoon. I understand that the one year grace period is still valid, however does applying online the day before expiration count or must the license be reissued before the grace period ends? Thanks for any insight into this..

That depends on your definition of "grace period". The CHL expires on the date on your license. You can't carry until you get a new CHL.

You can re-apply within that period, but your license is not valid until you are issued a new one.
