I would like to get everyones opinion on something real quick. I am working on getting my heavy equipment operator, crane certifications and CDL. I am transitioning out of the military in the very near future and am using my GI benifits to attend these schools. I was curious if I will be able to carry while I am in my CDL School. I read through the laws on the TX DPS website and I think I am good to go.
Here is the definition of a school of highter education as it pertains to my situation. This school is a for profit school. Let me know what you all think.
Thanks

For profit or non-profit should not matter.btrombla wrote:I would like to get everyones opinion on something real quick. Is your school listed here: http://www.sacscoc.org/pdf/webmemlist.pdf? If not, then it's not accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
If not, then carry on, and keep concealed.
I know nothing about the law of commercial drivers carrying...so my answer is limited only to the question on whether the school is a school...
Your best option for personal security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.
