But he isn't doing what this guy did, or so hes told me. He said when people go acting the way that this guy did to those women to him he just turns his cabin light on, and holds his gun up and the people will usually just speed right on up and leave him alone. I suppose that's different, though from this particular case you posted about.
Your friend is incredibly stupid.

:iagree:

My wife and I were late for her Dr appointment Monday morning and had someone do the same sort of thing to us. I was apparently not going fast enough in the school zone to satisfy the guy behind us, so he pulled into the empty lane next to us and gave us a Hawaiian Friendship Salute and waved something that might have been a camera or might have been a gun. If we had had more time I would have called 911 to report the incident, but . . .

My wife used to work near there and she said that there is a cop parked along that section of road stopping school zone violators almost every day. I wish he had been there that day.

Well, I am not saying that I would do the same thing he does. I guess maybe he's come across some people that were road rage maniacs way beyond your normal flipping the bird and just passing you up because you were driving too slow.

What he is doing is illegal and will either get him arrested or shot.

I could see either happening. I thought that myself when he was telling me about it, what if the person you do that to who was cutting you off also has a gun and just shoots you while you're driving? And of course being arrested for it wouldn't be any good either, but I guess better than being shot, if the person shooting was good at aiming and wouldn't miss anyway.

Just being cut of does not justify the threat of deadly force. Unless he sees a gun or gets shot at, then he does not have a legal leg to stand on. If he has a CHL, he needs it revoked, period.

Keith, I personally know a person on a different forum who did exactly that: displayed a handgun to a roadrager. He was arrested, convicted, and lost his CHL. Quite expensive and humiliating.

He is also defiant and self-justifying, even to this day.

Your advice is 100% on the money.
