Utah CFP Fee Increase

Post by Crossfire »

We knew it was coming.

The Utah DPS has increased their staff size to meet the growing demand for the Utah Concealed Firearm Permit. Actually, they have DOUBLED the number of application processors. Yes, they now have 6!

But, as we know, all things come with a price. The application fee for the Utah CFP has increased from $59 to a whopping $65.25, effective August 1, 2007.

I know this is hard to take. But, for you who already have your permit, you can take comfort in knowing that the Renewal Fee is still only $10.

I'm glad I got mine when I did and saved that $6.25
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

Is there somewhere in San Antonio to take the Utah class? I like the price either way, much better then the Texas price.

Hey HighVelocity, have you gotten your Utah license yet? I know age_ranger has gotten his.

I delayed sending my paperwork in for at least a month and a half after taking the class, (I had to locate some old court paperwork), but haven't received it yet.

:smilelol5: Boy you are not smart - the sad thing is My Wife and I DID THE EXACT THING and I am still WAITING!!!! I waited to send mine because I wanted it to take the place of my Texas CHL for about 3 months because I wait so my wife and I go take the class at the same time. I hope you get yours soon because that will mean I will too!

But, hey, with all those extra processors on board, they should be shipping out those licenses any day now!
