One of my favorite quotes from MT. This session I would rather watch Sausage being made. Far less painful.

Good to see you post here again, JAllen.

That quote is spot on. I would almost rather watch hotdog weiners beinmg made than what I've seen this session.

Oh course, you can decided whether or not to eat the sausage. Laws are force-fed.

I think the thrust of this quote, variously attributed to Mark Twain, Otto Von Bismark, and others going back to the Magna Carta and beyond, is that if you watch either being made, you will lose respect for law, and appetite for sausage.

I don't think this session is particularly remarkable. The Lege has been a constant source of entertainment and a frequent source of amusement at least since "Pass the biscuits, Pappy" Lee O'Daniel was Governor in the 1930's, and before. Who will forget the antics of the "SO Bees?"

I get the thrust. I just like to make the distinction that you can elect to throw the sausage out, like T.R., but you can't get away from those that proclaim, "...There ought'a be a law," or the laws they pass.
