Question for CCW

Post by calvinbr »

Question????? At gun shows, can we as CHLer's CC at the shows? Or do we unload and check our handguns in at the door, or keep them in the truck? I thank you for your time and answers.

If the building doesn't have a 30.06 sign, or people asking you to unload, then I would carry as usual. I also would not take my pistol out for any reason whatsoever! If it is posted with a 30.06 sign or have people asking you to unload, then I leave the ammo in the car and carry my pistol.

This is just what I do; it's not my opinion on what the law allows or requires. That's been covered in several threads.

I do know that when I went before I did not have my CHL, so I did not look into it. I did see people getting a zip tie on handguns and long guns when they came in. Just wanted to know if this applyed to CHL people. I do thank you for all information that is given.

Interesting... I always worried about theft when I leave my carry pistol in the car. I suppose you'd still check in at the table and let the LEOs "secure" it with a ziptie.

If there's a valid PC30.06 sign, I observe it.

Otherwise, I keep my mouth shut and enter the show. (And I will NOT draw the pistol or break concealment unless I need to use it.!!)

The gun shows in downtown Houston @ Brown Convention Center are definitely posted.

Didn't prevent a guy from performing a ND last month however!

The shows here in El Paso at the Shriners hall have a sign that says

" Carrying concealed? Keep it concealed"

I've gone in with mine without any problem.
