Concealed Carry in New Mexico

Post by John Galt »

In August I will be spending a few days in New Mexico. Are there any unusual carry rules to be aware of while visiting there?
Thanks in advance,
John

Only one I know of that is "strange" is that you can only conceal one pistol on yourself...no BUG in NM.

Also, not on any public bus or on any tribal land, unless the tribe allows it (What tribe would allow the white man to carry weapons on their land?)

There is also this:

"The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant, it's just that they know so much that isn't so." - Ronald Reagan, 1964

30.06 signs only make criminals and terrorists safer.

The links others have posted will give you the details. I like carrying in NM. After crossing the Texas/NM border, I untuck my shirt from over my pistol.
D -197 and counting! :hurry:

Watch out for these and other differences with Texas law:
* Unlicensed open carry for 21 years old and older.
* No-Guns signs have the force of law.
* No 51% or 30.06 signs.
* Alcohol rules are different - read the details.
* Only one concealed handgun.

Have fun!
