Dallas PD HQ attacked
Re: Dallas PD HQ attacked
Wow. Just watch that video link, and no she didn't chose her words poorly. She was all but gushing with excitement that someone had the nerve to outright attack the police. I think this could be a deeper subject for her, such as bias against all PD for perceived or real slights against blacks. At least that is the one thing that I can figure would justify this type of cheerleading action from her?
As to the reasons behind the attack, or the number of individuals involved I hope that comes to light. I would like to know the real reasons behind it, this is a dangerous potential tipping point. The DPD are know to be heavy handed in their approach to enforcing the law, and we need an unbiased accurate reporting. Hopefully since there were explosives used the FBI will take a more active role in the investigation.

The brother of one of my coworkers was murdered. The killer only got 5 years, so in light of that, 2 years is actually kinda excessive for making a threat because up until he made the threat, the guns, ammo, & armor were all legal.
The fact of the matter is, unless the case is a high profile case, sentences are generally light due to prison overcrowding. Also, justice is definitely NOT blind. Females are treated very leniently in the justice system, especially first time offenders. My coworker's brother decided it was a bright idea to go to his house at night to fetch a bbq grill from the back yard after he left his wife and moved in with a younger lady. He even brought the younger lady to help carry the bbq grill. His wife became enraged and shot him dead. She got only 5 years because the judge didn't want to leave the kids without a mama for too long. She could even serve less time than 5 years, with good behavior. I bet if the murderer was a man, they would've thrown the book at him, even if he has kids.
I used to support the death penalty until I found out that 2 percent of all those on death row were INNOCENT. When they invented DNA testing, it was discovered that 2 percent of murderers on death row were innocent. Experts estimate that currently, at least 2 percent of those on death row are innocent. Why are they in jail? The average IQ of those incarcerated is 20 to 30 points lower than average. There are a lot of "special" people in jail. My guess is that the cops took the lazy way out of "solving" a crime and just pressured a "special" person to confess then railroaded him to death row.

The man has identified himself as James Boulware, 50, who has a history of family violence and blames authorities for his losing custody of his son, Dallas police Chief David Brown said. The gunman said he was going to blow up police because they “took his child and accused him of being a terrorist,” Brown said.
Authorities cautioned that they have not confirmed the man is who he says he is. But in 2013, police in Paris, Texas, said they arrested James Lance Boulware after he obtained firearms, ammunition and body armor before threatening to attack his family, churches and schools. Police said then that he was taken into custody on two felony warrants from Dallas County.

CNN should fire her. This is not a poor selection of the words, that was well intended.

The reporter is more likely to be promoted than reprimanded. Sensationalism sells, and the media seems to be creating a very hostile environment towards the LEO community. The motive behind this media "angle" seems as simple as more viewers = more power. I guess wars have been started for less...

Mind reader? I can see how it easily could have been a poor choice of words. I believe in giving people a chance to clarify their actual intentions.Beiruty wrote:CNN should fire her. This is not a poor selection of the words, that was well intended.

Hey, she is just taking the lead from Obama, Holder, DeBlasio, and the other darlings of the Lewinsky media. Don't you know it is officially approved to hate the police and blame them for everything?Beiruty wrote:Nope. It may have already been answered and I missed it.. or the search didn't find it..
After the threat was removed, did any source release what weapons that the shooter had? .. I kept hearing "automatic" but the audio to the video that was filmed from the roof didn't sound like any automatic I've ever been around. Cyclic rate waayyyy too slow.
Just curious if they released the list of weapons, or if that was simply swept away..

The same mother that he strangled to be charged with felony assault, amongst other things. Charges didn't stick because she wouldn't testify I believe.RPBrown wrote:Now his mother says the police should have done more to keep him alive
