Time line for my CHL application

Post by Schwabo »

Greeting and salutations!!! I figured I would go ahead and make my first post here.

5/26/15- online application completed and submitted.
5/28/15- L-1 fingerprinting electronically submitted and complete.
6/06/15- CHL class completed(Reagan Skaggs awesome instructor)
6/08/15- CHL-100 mailed certified through USPS.
7/01/15- Got the change on DPS website for change address, loss or stolen card ect..
Now just sit back and wait for Wally the mail man..it's a good day!

The only time I called RSD was to ask a question on 5 years of residential history on the application. There was no selection (that I could find) on a AFP OR outside CONUS address for a military base. She was very polite and said I should put my home of record that I entered the service in while I was over season. (Maybe that will help my brothers and sisters in arms If they were like me and were confused). I will be carrying a gen 3 Glock 22 or a S&W SD40ve. One thing I've noticed is my two Galco holsters fit the s&wsd40ve that were made for the Glock 22 (a little added bonus). Well thanks guys and gals! CARRY ON!

That's comforting to know...I am active duty as well and have moved around quite a bit. I just made the decision to use my home of record and looks like I was correct. Thanks!

Not sure either, but I will say that the woman that I spoke with didn't seem bothered at all that I was asking. I'd said that I had checked the site but that there were no updates or changes, and I asked her politely if there was another way to check status. She quickly offered to check it for me. I think that they recognize that the site isn't either working correctly or whoever is supposed to update it isn't able to keep up. I do know that there is no update on my status online as of this morning, even though it is to be mailed.
