i know i was wrong for doing this but few times i continued on in to places -- just for the simple fact i did not want to be seen going back to my car and have the chance of being seen putting it up -- its messed up to walk up to store or place then see the sign and have to go back -- plus in the back of my head i have always thought if for some reason something happened and i had to use it the place would probably be glad i was there to save the day -- i do wonder what most do though -- all my friends know i carry though -- my only worry is thieves seeing me put it up or maybe thinking thats why went back

I have been in this situation. I felt as if someone was watching for it. All I could do is lock it up in the car, take the mag in with me and hope my feelings were wrong. My family was already inside. As it turns out All ended OK.

Usually, we're with those "in the know" so no excuses needed. If others in the party are carrying too and we have another choice of venue, we'll all leave. I have used the "forgot my billfold" excuse in other instances.

Having a phone in a movie is not synonymous to using it in the theater viewing room while the movie is playing. Though I think..That is what you meant.. Yes.. and if so, yes I agree, that is just plain rude.
I see nothing wrong with a phone in my pocket with a preselected few incoming numbers set to alert me goes off silently vibrating, and I quietly depart the movie to the outside hallway to read the txt or take the call.

Invest the very few dollars it takes to lock it up in a micro-safe (if you will) that can be wire roped or chained to some immovable part of your vehicle.

I think mine costs about $35.00 and I bought an extra wire rope ($3.00) that I installed in my wife's car, so that I can simply transfer the safe if we use her vehicle.

Now, if a very determined thief wants your secured safe with your handgun in it badly enough can he get it? Yes, but a quick break in thief won't...and that's what most of us face.

Yep the only reason I'd bring a cellphone into the movie theater is for an emergency. I set mine to block all numbers except a few that I would expect to hear from if there was an emergency. I have received one such call during a movie and I was glad I had the phone however I made my way out of the theater before viewing or answering the call. I too am annoyed by those playing with their phones during the movie.

Yes, and one of the many reasons I no longer GO to the movies.

When it comes to movies - A quality DVD player, a fine set of speakers and I'm good to go.

As for the acoustics at the movies and/or special effects that are larger/bigger/better than you can enjoy at home...?

The trade off is well worth it!

People no longer care about their loutish public behavior. Loud cell phone calls, coming and going... Plain old ordinary and distinctly loud conversation. Feet exercising on the back of your seat. That and more are now par for the course in a movie theatre.

Ushers to make them be quiet and behave? A thing of the past.

I have one in my truck and one for my wife's or daughters vehicle, for when I use their cars or go with them. It's a small investment to get a bit of piece of mind, not impossible to break but perhaps good enough to stop a smash&run.

Regarding excuses I just say 'go on, I need to get back to my car... I'll be back in a few', that's the end of it. I usually ask where we are going first and if it's to the movies I avoid AMC at all costs. Then I check the tx3006 site and if in doubt may even call the place to check.
