Isn't that the recommended defence from the show Arrested Developement? Buster was taught to drop to the ground in a ball so that eventually the attackers would grow tired and bored and leave you alone.Kythas wrote:Interesting quote here from one of the kids who witnessed the shooting:

Did I read that right? Our schools are training our children that in the event of an active shooting, they're to get under a table and wait to be executed?“We all got under the tables, which is what your [sic] supposed to do..."

On a similar note I can't even begin to describe my frustration and loathing with the people commenting about the teacher. Most comments, not all, are chastising the teacher for being a hero and chasing the shooter off.

The 2 general arguments I read about that are "he was foolish and could've been shot", as if doing nothing was a guarantee of not getting shot and "he should've let the authorities handle it". Rrrrright...the police who weren't there because it happened too fast.
I guess its a similar mindset to an anti who doesn't trust themselves with a gun and therefore none of us should. The people chastising the teacher wouldn't have done anything so the teacher shouldn't have either.

Resistance is NOT futile!!!
