Desparate prayer request for our granddaughter

Our granddaughter, Emma, became ill on August 8 with an extreme headache, foggy vision and nausea. ER visit and hospitalization and myriad tests now reveal she is in a dire state with a Staph blood infection that entered the brain causing pain and mini-strokes, in her heart and has set up what they call a 'vegetation' on her aortic valve. Much more going on but right now they are fighting a desperate battle to kill the infection with 4 different antibiotics and losing. She's allergic to penicillin, but they are trying it with the first infusion a while ago. They are saying she will need valve replacement surgery is she survives. Please pray for Emma and her family. They need every prayer warrior we can muster. Thank you.

Thank you all for your prayers. Emma is now in the direst of circumstances and is going to have open heart surgery early tomorrow to remove the infected aortic valve, which has continued to shed bacteria emboli to her brain causing additional strokes. The concern is that the infected valve will shed a large bit of the bacteria to the brain causing a major stroke. The information I have received is that the pulmonary valve will be used to replace the aortic valve and a pig valve will replace the pulmonary valve. Instead of beginning her high school senior year she'll be enduring a delicate, hopefully life saving procedure. Unfortunately my wife and I both came down with Covid the day Emma went into ICU, so we can not be there. Please continue you prayers for Emma. Thank you.
