lost my fav Benchmade.....

Post by Right-Wing-Nut »

Well, I can't find my beloved Benchmade Osborne 940. This is my daily carry knife and I have been missing it since Monday. I am seriously bummed but still hoping it turns up somewhere. How long should one wait before a replacement is purchased?? THis seriously sucks since I paid $140 for that knife and loved it.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Try here http://sporting-goods.pricegrabber.com/ ... _b_s/skd=1

They have one listed for $123.

Sofa cushions are a good place to look, as well as the laundry hamper. Losing a good knife is a real bummer.
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

And I just found mine yesterday. I changed the blade on a mower & found it in that spot yesterday evening. I looked 2 day all the different places It might have gotten away at.
Mine is no $140.00 one but I cant afford to loose a Kershaw either. Hope you find it. I will look around here & let you know if it turns up.

I feel the pain  i have carried mine as well every day for the last 10 years . I have a backup but have only needed it when the wife put mine through the washer. Both were around 160-200 ea and I get nervous when I do not feel it with me. I use it at work and all I can say this is some of the best steel to be found. Hope you find it soon.

knife says Mel Pardue design ATS-94 but do not think it is made anymore

Did you look in the car, in the seats???

Knives love company. The lost knife always turns up shortly after you buy a replacement.

Ø resist

Take away the second first, and the first is gone in a second.

Get a Griptilian; same great Benchmade quality for less than half the price, and when you find your Osborne on the way to the door to get the Griptilian from the UPS guy, you'll have two Benchmades :)

I have a Griptilian now and really like it also. It is just much heavier and I prefer the S30V steel. I also have a mini-Rukus which is great- just a bit too bulky for a daily carry. I tried a bunch of knives before picking that 940. It is an awesome knife.
