I got an email from CMP this evening that they shipped my M1 Garand. Checked the FedEx tracking number. Estimated time of delivery is 10:30 AM tomorrow. I feel like a little kid on Christmas eve. Woohoo !!!

Excellent! Congrats.
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

Sweet.

This past weekend my grandfather handed down some of his old guns that he does not use anymore, and one of them was a M1.

Yep it's the Special Grade. Chalk writing in the stock when it arrived listed it as number 268 of 1000. I love Christmas. I ran the serial number on the Receiver. It came back as being made in 1945.
