Re: i need a bug

The things you mentioned are not typically what I think of when I hear BUG. Usually I think of something that is small enough to be stuffed into a pocket or carried in an ankle holster for times when you can't carry anything larger. So for a BUG I typically think KelTec P3AT (maybe the new Ruger) or an airweight S&W .38Spc (like the 642). This obviously doesn't mesh with what you think of for a BUG - so may I ask exactly what your requirements are? And if it truly is a 4" .357Mag (something I would consider maybe more a truck gun than a BUG) may I suggest that you change the title on this thread? You might get more hits.

well when i said bug i meant just a second gun in addition to the primary gun witch is a 1911 full frame
so i am a big guy and i have big cloths so putting a 4in revolver in a pocket or a sock wouldnt be that big a deal i have done it before (that gun got stolen)

You can't go wrong with a J-Frame. My BUG is a S&W 340PD, with .357 magnum 135gr short-barrel Speer Gold Dots. I also have a steel S&W 640 with a bit longer (2 1/8") barrel that would make a good BUG, but I like the 340 so well that I haven't gotten around to carrying the 640 yet. I use the 340 load in the 640 as well.

There is a guy on AR15 in DFW selling his PPK (Interarms) with both mags. Looks to be in nice condition. He was asking $350 I believe. PPK's can be hit or miss but my Interarms PPK is a nice little pistol. Also, for a nice .380 maybe look at the Sig 232 SL. I love mine but it is large for a .380 and pricey.
