Good theory. I don't believe it.

if this theory is true, then mine should be issued in the next three days.

however, i think they put everyone's name in the machine they use to draw the lottery numbers, and when your ball is drawn your license is issued. i have seen people submit at the same time or after me and already have their plastic. i am at day, let's see, 87. so still within the time frame, not as long as others, but it is a personal trial for me and patience is a virtue i do no possess, especially when i dish out $240.

You mean $140? That extra $100 was supposed to be sent to me in a plain brown envelope! ;-)

I must admit that I am really fed up and disappointed at this point. I don't believe the birthday theory either as mine is in June.

I don't believe they are using any organized method at all. I believe there are bits and pieces of our packets scattered from one corner of the boiler room to the other. If they were using any organized method at all, there would be some kind of consistency in when and how we get our plastic. I just read a post in a thread where someone said they were at 125 days. I thought I remembered reading somewhere in the booklet that they had to have the permit issued or face some kind of consequences. I may start researching this now. Maybe I can be a great big pain to them. If they are going to jerk around anyway, I might as well have some fun with it.

Jeepers...reading all these posts of how long it takes can get downright discouraging. It usually takes me about 30 minutes of reading threads in the waiting room before I can't take it any longer and feel compelled to post my frustration. :banghead:

I can't agree with you more, although I usually get sad. I'm at day 100, and was about to go looking for Mr. Cotton and ask him what we can do if DPS has completly messed up our application times (was thinking 120+ days becomes time for action)

As for the birthday theory, if thats true then I'm really in trouble and will be getting it next January, as my birthday is in July.
