who violated the rule and why did you post it on the open forum

Some may find the rules here a bit stringent, but this is the first time I've seen the charge "uppity".

up·pi·ty (p-t)
adj. Informal
Taking liberties or assuming airs beyond one's station; presumptuous
Either way, the rules are what they are....and we do try to abide by them.

On another forum I belong to, the software doesn't even let you SEE the 'firearms classifieds' until you have a certain number of posts.Sodbuster wrote:It's cool, I'll take it to nother forum...that's quite a uppity rule there folks...
If you contribute at all, you can reach the minimum number of posts easily.

Re: Forum rule violation
I am on a couple other forums and they all have the same type of rule for their classifieds. Uppity???? LOL...now that is funny.

I see he had contributed to a couple of threads. Maybe he'll stick around for tea and crumpets.

dont let the door hit ya

but stick around if you can follow the rules

Re: Forum rule violation
Forum rules are there for a reason most of us can understand. Unfortunately a comment like " don't let the door hit ya, etc." counts as a posting towards your member status. I guess we can all make those one or two word comments to bring our membership level up, but is that the kind of participation the forum wants? Just wondering..... And speaking of rules, isn't this thread for selling and not bashing?

After you have been here awhile and see how things operate, see how the occaisional troll or "I am only here to sell" poster or spammer can really rub the boards the wrong way then you will understand. Killerfly has been around awile and is a contributing member.GrayHawk wrote:Forum rules are there for a reason most of us can understand. Entering posts that slam the rules and correcting long term members also builds post count but does zero to gain respect among the membership.

Re: Forum rule violation
All "clubs" have rules. They are for the benefit of the members. It's those rules and the common interest of the members that define the "club".
Stick around, and have fun. Enjoy the contributions by our members. There are some very interesting and knowledgeable people on this forum. I read a lot more than I contribute, and I have been surprised by my own ignorance on some of the issues that are discussed here.
By the way, Welcome!
