Borrow/rent AR15 action block/armorers wrench in DFW?

Would like to avoid buying these tools right now as parts are eating a hole in my wallet to begin with. Posting up here to see if anyone in DFW/metroplex area has these I can use for a short time to assemble an upper and install a receiver extension. Won't need them until end of January or mid-February. Not looking to put together more than 1 setup together, would probably return them within 3 days of receipt.

If you require compensation for any wear that may occur, I'm sure we can work something out. Let me know what you have, thanks.

I'm near Houston my brother is in Austin. I've borrowed his AR-15 action block and tools twice now - once to install a free-float tube, once to replace a barrel. Both times, he sent be the tools USPS and I returned them the same way.

Once more, and the post office cost will approach the price of the tools.

If you foresee being involved with AR-15s much, you would be wise to bite the bullet and buy the tools. I will buy them the next time I need them, and will have thrown away the cost of postage back and forth to Austin, twice.

Maybe not what you wanted to hear, and irrelevant if someone in easy driving distance will loan them to you.

Yea, I wasn't looking to pay to ship them - if nobody local has what I need, I'll buy them.

I don't have any blocks but I do have a DPMS tool that you can use if you want.

I have both you can borrow if you want. I'll be using them to assemble another rifle here pretty soon, so let me know when and how many days you need them for. If it's end of January to mid February I should have the next one together by then.

Chris, much appreciated. Time frame for my assembly shouldn't be any sooner than second week of February on the inside. Wish it wasn't so, but things are what they are. I will get in touch when the time comes. Thanks again!
