Colt Series 70 Combat Commander - No Longer For Sale

Post by CodeJockey »

All, I recently purchased this gun from a fellow Texas CHL Forum member. It's a great gun, and there are no problems with it. I've just decided I'm not too much of a 1911 guy. That said, I'm offering this up for sale. The gun looks way better in person than in pics as I'm not much of a photographer.

It also includes:
  • Unknown mfg IWB holster
  • Unknown mfg OWB holster
  • Unknown mfg single magazine holster (OWB)
  • 3 Colt 8rd magazines
  • Complete set of spare springs and internals from Wilson Combat (still new in package)
What I can tell you is that this gun was custom built by a gunsmith and has all Wilson Combat springs, bushings, solid guide rod, etc. I have fired approximately 300 rounds through it since I got it without a single failure of any kind. I'd prefer FTF in DFW with CHL holder, but I might be willing to drive a small distance to meet you somewhere. I'm looking to get what I have in it for $800.00 or a trade for a hunting rifle in .30-06, 7mm Rem Mag, 300 Win Mag, or similar. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. TIA!

Custom Built?

Wow......the 2nd picture from the top shows a ambi safety, ambi mag release and ambi slide lock! Southpaw ejection Port.

Never seen one quite like that! :smilelol5:

Otherwise, nice pistol! :thumbs2:

That is so weird, I have no idea why that pic on number 2 is flipped like that. I Must've accidentally clicked the button to flip it when I imported it. Anyway, disregard pic number 2, as it's been mirror imaged...

That being said... DOES it have an ambidextrous safety?
