Gunsmithing Sevices Needed

Post by rmclain3 »

Does anyone know of a decent and reasonably skilled gunsmith in the Houston/Spring area? I have a new stainless Colt Commander XSE on to which I would like to have a beavertail grip safety installed. I contacted Briley's and, although they can do the work, their lead time in 12-16 weks. I can't be without my equalizer that long. Any ideas?

Ed Vanden Berg at Vanden Berg Custom. He's been building, modifying and repairing my 1911s for years.
