Also forgot to mention it is in Temple area, but willing to travel a little to make sale.
I have for sale an SAXD 40, service model w/ the 4" barrel and Meprolite night sites. I will include 5 magazines (3 - 12 round, and 2 - 10 round), two holsters and a Hogue grip sleeve as well as the original box for the weapon. I would estimate approximately 1000 rounds fired while in the police academy, meticulously cleaned after each range trip and never abused. I would rate this gun at 95% only due to some wear on the barrel visible in the ejection port pictured below.
In the interest of being totally honest, and not making any enemies on here, I will tell you that it doesn't like some ammo, namely Powerball, and some of the Hornady hollowpoint loads, which is the reason I am looking to get rid of it. My agency issues Hornady ammo and I'm not allowed to carry any other ammo. It's about 95% reliable with that particular load and that's unnacceptable for a defensive loading IMO. With TAP, however, as well as Gold Dot, Fed Hydroshocks, Ranger SXT etc, I have had no problems and 100% reliability.
All total, I think I have about $785 in this gun and accessories, but asking $600 OBO, or will entertain offers for trades. I am interested in a Glock 22 with hi-cap mags, or maybe a 1911 and I'll throw in some cash to go with the XD for a nice 1911. Let me know what you've got.
