"Thanks" button?

Post by pbwalker »

I have seen this feature on a few other forums and thought it might be cool to have here.

The basic premise is that if you, as a reader, see a post you find useful or beneficial to the users here, you can "Thank" them by clicking the "Thanks" button. It can be done on a post by post basis. It gives others a chance to thank someone for a good post, without having to reply to say those thanks!

One benefit may be a small reduction in your DB growth. A click of "Thanks" doesn't require a new post, therefor cutting down on your DB over time.

I have attached a screen grab from another site to show you how it works.

Here is a link to the Mod itself, if anyone wants to check it out!

That would be a good idea. It took too long to make my own "Thanks" button.

Plus it was not WYSISWYG when I posted this reply!!
