Range Report

Post by Keith »

After reading tons of reviews about Kimbers I purchased a CDP Pro 1911. With all the choices out there it was only Kimber that offered the most features for the price. Sure other were close but would not have night sites or ambi safetys. So after the purchase I went to the range. I will never be without a 1911 again. I new I hated double action or long single action trigger pulls but I really hate them now.

The trigger is so smooth just when I want the gun to go bang it does no waiting. The farthest I shot was 50 ft. I was able to cover the hole with a half dollar with 16 shots. I've never shot this good on my life. I put 300 rounds through it without any missfires or FTF. I guess I'm either lucky and just got a good one or Kimbers are just plain quality built gun. After the 300 ball ammo I shot 20 230 grn hp +p ammo again no issues. I would def rec a Kimber 1911 there tach drivers amazing. I'll add pic of target when I get home.

Only Kimber I've ever fired, I blew the X out of the center of the bullseye at 10 yards with the first three shots I fired from the gun. On the next mag, I promptly put a negligent discharge into the dirt right in front of the shooting bench :eek6 OOPS!

They are fine and deadly accurate weapons. And I now keep my finger well out of the trigger guard until I am on target :thumbs2:
