a problem arises

What does that stand for. I think we need a forum topic for acronyms

Ummmmm, lets see how to put this.

a problem arises= When the "excrement Hits The Fan". If you know what I mean.

IMO= In My Opinion
IMHO= In My Humble Opinion
IIRC= If I Recall Correctly
FWIW= For What Its Worth

There are of course, many, many, others.

We strive to keep both language and acronyms "clean"...in the sense that they conform to the "Ten year old daughter" rule.

Hope this helps.

Other ways of saying it are "When the balloon goes up," and "TEOTOWAKI" (the end of the world as we know it.)

So many are forum specific in the lists that one might read.
The one that seems most forum specific to this board, imo, is
"IANAL" ="I am not a lawyer"
Pretty rare to see it other places.
Ø resist

Take away the second first, and the first is gone in a second.
