Post by garcia946 »

Got a friend , she`s looking for a .380 so I told her I`d look for one.
She`s on a buget 250-350. So who`s selling one around that price?
Anyone.... :tiphat:

Is there a cabelas near you? How far is Buda from you?
They have an LCP package available for 300.00. It's got a pocket holster, gun case and I think an extra
mag or somethin.
The link is in another thread on here that someone has posted within the last few days.

In that price range, for a woman, especially if she's a new shooter, get the Bersa.

I'm not a .380 fan, but I did see that SS Bersa with black CT grips, trigger, safety, etc. in Academy. That's a sweet gun.

Got my Ruger LCP @ the gun store for $268.99 Good (cheap) little gun. Just beware the price of the ammo. When I go to the range I don't shoot but I box (50) thru it for practice, then go to the 9mm for the rest of the time I am there. I carry the LCP daily so have to shoot it at least once a week. (Trying to break it in). I think I have acquired (another) expensive hobby.

I was the OP on the above link. Cabela's has an "LCP package" for $329.99. You'd have to go to 35W in
Fort Worth to get it.

If I were you, and the gal wanted to stay within the budget you stated above, go with a plain Bersa Thunder,
meaning the one without the laser.

But if she wanted to just move uptown a little bit, from $350 to $399, I'd have her get the BT mentioned above.
It's in Plano, so you're just down the street.

Let us know what she gets.

Ed,

Shoot me an email. I would go with a DB380 over the LCP any day!
Should be in the same price range too.

As an FYI, I have stopped selling the Diamondbacks, the reliability is just not there. I recently sold 3 of them to our customers, all had issues with feeding and extracting, one also had a broken trigger bar after only 15 rounds. 2 of them needed to be returned for repairs and Diamondback would not provide pre-paid shipping labels. Although they look great and feel great when shooting the quality just is not there for reliable CCW use. The owners manual states that you need to run 50 to 100 rounds through them before they are broken in so plan on another $50.00 or so in ammo to see if it will be reliable.

I've got an LCP with CT Laser, two mags, two finger extensions, one +2 pearce magazine extensition, Bullard IWB holster and mag pouch that I'm looking to sell soon.

I'll be in the DFW area all next week and would be happy to bring with me if your friend is interested. I'll be near the DFW airport. Let me know before Sunday and I'll bring it with me

Note, the LCP is one of the least comfortable shooting guns ever! Make sure your friend does not plan on using the LCP as a frequent range pistol. If she wants a regular shooter in that price range, you can add a bit of heft a get a Bersa.

I have a four-month old Ruger LCP (372 series) that has never had a hiccup with Speer Gold Dot (my choice carry ammo). WTS for $300. Includes DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster and four OEM mags (it comes with one) and rug. Need funds for other interests. I am in San Antonio.
