County 'Opts Out' Of State Law

FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- Gun owners will not be allowed to carry their weapons in Williamson County parks.

In a 19 to 5 vote Monday night, the Williamson County Commission voted to opt out of complying with the state law that allows permitted gun owners to carry their weapons in some parks.

The county was among the first to opt out after the law passed last year, but that resolution expired at the end of May.
Amazing...A resolution that expired back in May, and yet they still had the gall (putting it nicely) to do this...

Well, I figure that 19 people those folks could do without...I wonder if they are appointed, or elected...Either way...hehehe, that is a problem easily rectified, yet, I betcha nothing will happen...That's the way it usually goes...

Civility should go right out the window in such brazen violations of the law and the Constitution, but what do I know...I'm usually wrong, and could be labeled a racist or a hot head... ;-)

What a shame...My cousin (and his family) live up in Tennessee...

Those are people who have moved to the Nashville area since I left in the mid 60's. North Williamson county used to be a prime groudhog area.

Progress ain't automatically a good thing.
