It's a vest-pocket pistol in .22 short.
This is the 2nd variation of the original S&W pistol, as I understand it.
Mine is a non-shooter, mechanically, but it's a neat pistol for display, or to complete your collection until that mint example turns up.
Finish is 5% ? the brass was originally silverplated, and some of that remains.
Grips are surprisingly in great shape.
