It is part of the reason why I like to train, and part of the reason I have a rifle.Venus Pax wrote:Sounds like we're all underarmed with our .380s and .45s.
Although surprise can be a big advantage for us too.

Eye Opener!
After reading that report (mostly skimming), I have concluded that I do not currently have the guns or ammo that would be required to protect just my family in any event of hostile actions. I feel like we should all be worried, did you read where it said that 88% of the folks apprehended with links to the middle east were right here in Texas?!?!? How many were not apprehended and are now wandering around the nation making calls telling how easy it was to get into America? There is no guessing at what a determined human being is willing to do to make a statement.
The government that is supposed to protect us knows of this and still does nothing, UNBELIEVABLE!
While we chase who knows who all over the world they just simply walk across the desert into America.
Do I sound paranoid or is anyone else with me on this?

Daddy & I were talking the other day about the fact that only 5% of those barges coming into the port of Houston are searched. A terrorist could have a field day there.
What else can you do and have a 95% chance of success?
Politicians truly do not care unless its their own hide.

All the Barge traffic I am aware of is domestic. They wouldn't be more likely to be searched than a railroad car or an 18 wheeler. Now, containers and tankers come in from all over the world. I would be more concerned about them than barges which are all domestic.Venus Pax wrote:Daddy & I were talking the other day about the fact that only 5% of those barges coming into the port of Houston are searched. That's what we were talking about. These things enter the Port of Houston from all over the world. It's scary that they aren't more careful.

Our borders have never been secure. I just love the fact that Vacinte Fox took the issue of the proposed border fences to the UN. He doesn't want his biggest export (people) slowed or stopped. Don't forget his biggest import, US DOLLARS!!!!

If guns kill people, then I can blame mispelled words on my pencil

The illegal aliens from Mexico and their fellow travelers would raise a stink to high heaven if the USA treated them like Mexico treats immigrants, legal and otherwise. I thing the borders should be mined and everything within 200m a free fire zone.
Better to perish in struggle for freedom than live to see defeat.
The Texas Border Watch Test Site is now online:
http://www.texasborderwatch.com/index.php
The site gives you access to eight or nine video cameras along the border. There is no information as to the actual locations of these cameras and what exactly you are seeing. Hopefully this is still under development and will improve over time. This is a test site after all.
My biggest complaint is that I haven't been able to get the video applet working with Firefox and I really don't like using Internet Explorer if I can avoid it!

The next question for y'all is what do you know about the TTC???
Trans-Texas Corridor???
Wait till you get a look at this deal...
