It is currently legal to carry an unloaded handgun into most public places within the state, including restaurants and malls, but if approved, AB 144 would make it a misdemeanor to carry an unloaded handgun in public under most circumstances.

Can't get much lower capacity than UNloaded, but I guess that's toooooo many?
Anyone have stats on how many murders occur by being clubbed to death with an empty gun?

They don't want people pulling them out and yelling "BANG"!!

An empty gun is very scary, especially when you're a drugged up Hollyweird type.

Or the double rainbow guy.

They just want to know who the BGs are and who the victims are.

Wouldn't it be cool if they some how made a mistake and had this new law override the current one forcing anyone openly carrying to have the gun loaded. Topeka, Kansas, sort of did this when the were striking an entire section from their city code. In doing so, they unintentionally make open carry legal in Topeka and so far it has withstood at least one vote to be reinstate the ban.
