Ammoholics Anonymous
How do you know you’re an ammoholic?
Have you ever felt the need to cut back on your ammo purchases?
Do you get upset when people ask why you buy so much ammo?
Do you feel guilty about buying ammo?
Do you hide your ammo from friends and family?
Is it hard for you to stop buying ammo after one or two boxes?
Do you often have to buy more ammo to replace what you've shot up?
Do you buy more than seven boxes of ammo a week?
Do you keep ammo in unusual places at home, work or in the car?
Have you promised a loved one to stop buying ammo and failed?
Do you experience withdrawal symptoms if you don’t buy ammo, such as nausea, sweating and shaking?
If so, you are an ammoholic. Academy is hosting an AA meeting in the gun department Monday night.

Hmm... I may be
Have you ever felt the need to cut back on your ammo purchases?
Heck no! If all breaks loose, ammo will be worth its weight in gold (today's standard, because gold is worthless since you can't hunt or protect yourself with it).
Do you get upset when people ask why you buy so much ammo?
I bought a 1250 rounds once at Academy and was surprised that no one asked me about it. Maybe I didn't buy enough.
Do you feel guilty about buying ammo?
See #1 (Should you feel guilty for being the only one smart enough to prepare for the worst?)
Do you hide your ammo from friends and family?
No, I want them to know that I can be an ally when all breaks loose.
Do you keep ammo in unusual places at home, work or in the car?
You never know where you'll be when all breaks loose.
RESULTS: 5/10, I think I'm okay for now.

How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

I think my Ammunition stash proves that I'm a Ammoholic

You know you're an Ammoholic when you start calculating how much weight the floor joists will take, and how to spread out your stash to avoid it crashing through to the floor below...
Is .22 considered a gateway ammo to more potent calibers?

*Cue sad music*...at age three it was a cap gun, by age 6 it was a BB gun. By age 11 I was shooting up 3 boxes of .22 a day... I would use all my allowance and lunch money on ammo... At age 18 I was shooting all the rifle and shotgun ammo I could get hands on... Now at age 22 I spend more money on ammo than food and bills, I would have to say the low point in my life was the two weeks I spent sleeping at an outdoor range... My name is Texas_Tactical and I have a problem...

I will be at the meeting, the first step is admitting you have a problem...

Hello, my name is Napier and I am an ammoholic. But not just any ammo will do. I like the foreign stuff. I remember clearly that day at Academy when I realized that they make ammo in Serbia. I had to have some. And Russian, oh my, how wicked! And when I discovered that Mexico not only made smoky peppers, but smoky Aguila ammo, I was in love. Next came Brazilian. Then Czech Republic. And why not the Phillipines? No, American ammo is just plain dull compared to that foreign stuff.
