Trying to get my CHL in Feb need help
I intend on completing everything for my CHL by the end of February. I was hoping to find somewhere that can do it all in one day around Mckinney.
So far all I have found is roadblocks per say. Seems that I can take the class at some but have to qualify and finger print later. etc. OR others I can do range and class in one day but the app and fingerprints are up to me. My intentions to take it all at one time are so that way hopefully it will be one smooth action.
If I fill the ap out online do is a notary still required? or is it fill it out then pay for that is over? meaning just the course and fingerprints is all that is left?
I also know that as of March 1st fingerprints will not be able to be done by instructors.
I am off sat and sun

awesome. I intend on doing everything on the 20th. I need some range time before then.
Thanks for the replies.

Go online and fill out the application. Get the FAST L1 fingerprints. Then all you need is your class and range qualification. Go to the range but don't do it because you think you can't pass the qualification. A 5 year old could pass it.

that class I am going to take provides fingerprints should I still get the FAST L1??? I work mon-fri so that may be hard.
I am not worried about the range to much thanks though.

honestly i don't see a reason to if your instructor will do fingerprints during the course. that's how i did mine and they were accepted with no problems. my instructor took the time to briefly examine each of our prints with a magnifying glass and did a few peoples' prints over to make sure they were good and wouldn't be rejected by the DPS.1s1k52 wrote:that class I am going to take provides fingerprints should I still get the FAST L1??? I don't know where your located and how close or far the L1 FAST is to you, but in my experience it took all of 10 minutes to do.1s1k52 wrote:that class I am going to take provides fingerprints should I still get the FAST L1??? I work mon-fri so that may be hard.

I had a 10 a.m. appointment I walked in at 9:50, they finished up the appointment in front of me at 9:55, I was out by 10:05. So for me it was no worst than stopping off to put some gas in my car.

Phil and Cesare did my last renewal, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else, even if Phil did tease me unmercifully when my wife outshot me on the requal. She shot 100% while I dropped two points.
