Illinois has a bill before the legislature to repeal the ban on CC.
It has already passed out of committee.
Good luck to them.
The claws of the anti's are coming out.
I don't know if there is a realistic chance it will pass or if this is all for show.
But it was the first I'd heard of it.

I read in passing a few days ago that Illinois Governor Pat Quinn might sign the bill as part of a political trade-off for other goals that he wants. This is highly speculative.

Having spent much of my life in Illinois, I think a state-wide referendum on concealed carry would pass. Even the constituencies that used to be anti-RKBA are saying, "Enough already."
