FM 2920 BW3 sign...

Post by e-bil »

The BW3 on FM 2920 in Spring has a sign that said "Buffalo Wild Wings bans guns on these premises". No blue or red TABC and no other signage. Fortunately the one by where I work just has the blue sign. Not legal but it's obvious they don't want patronage there...

I ignore those signs at BWW. They mean nothing to CHL. I carry right past them.

I will have to go check out the one in Austin close to me. I do not eat at BWW because the wings suck. But I will stop by and tell the manager I will not eat there because of the lack of respect they have for law abiding Americans who exercise their 2A rights. If you don't let them know, it will never change.

Awwwwe don't.
Then they will change .... to a 30.06 sign.
They aren't bothering licensees (law abiding Americans) ... yet.

I agree with Griz...the wings at BWW are pretty bad. I prefer Wing Stop. Just a blue sign at mine. I think it's a Texas-based business, also.

BINGO. Don't educate them. You won't change their minds. You'll only teach them how to legally ban you from carrying in there.

PLUS.... Have you ever considered that, here in Texas, they may be perfectly aware of the law; and that they deliberately post non-compliant signs for insurance purposes and to make their customers who are "antis" comfortable—knowing full well that your CHL allows you to walk right past the sign and also spend money in their joint?

OTH, you're right.... the wings there are terrible. So is pretty much all of the other food. But when my weekly business networking group decides to hold a quarterly happy hour gathering at BWW, then that's when I go there.

I'm a Boomers Jack's fan. they beat the pants off just about any other wing joint around, plus I've never seen any type of anti sinage there. :thumbs2: I agree BWW isn't too great.

The Buffalo Wilds Wings in Tomball has the same sign. If its a sign that doesn't effect you just smile and walk right past it. Don't alert management or corporate about the legality of said sign as it pertains to CHL holders.
Personally, I've never met a chicken wing I didn't like.

They're decent when you tell them to cook them extra crispy in my book. I've had wings at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo so that's a tough act for anyone to follow (except my wife's when she makes them).

How are they showing any lack of respect to law abiding Americans who exercise their 2A rights. Their signage invites law abiding Americans to exercise their 2A rights. There is nothing they need to know because there is no need to change anything with the current signage. Their signage is designed to give the foolish a false sense of security. Why should that offend any of us here? Bother the ones that put up signs that actually keep CHLs out.

A Google search shows that this is the Corporate stance that they are not 2A friendly. In about every other state this sign has the strength of a 30.06.

So that would be law abiding Texans, but not Americans as a whole.

As far as we're concerned in Texas, without a 30.06 sign they're as pro-gun as Ted Nugent. I never have worried about the personal feelings of a business, all I worry about is if I'm allowed to protect myself and family while I'm there. BWW gets a big thumbs up in that area.
