Two thumbs up for..

Dallas Public Safety Supply. Earlier this week, I developed a need for a shoulder rig, but had no lead time for mail orders or hit-or-miss shopping. A quick call to Galco's sales manager led to a recommendation that I try DPSS in Dallas, as they are one of Galco's largest-volume stocking dealers. However, Galco doesn't list my preferred choice of the Miami Classic II for my primary, the G21 .45 ACP, so I was expecting some inconvenience.

Arriving at the shop on Elm in downtown Dallas, I had the deja-vu feeling that I was walking into some hole-in-the-wall, 1930s bookie joint. Entering through the back door, or "officer's entrance," I navigated a long, narrow hallway to the front, finding a compact, but orderly, extremely well-stocked boutique cop shop. Asking for Mark by name, and after reassuring him that I wasn't there to serve him papers, he was all over me like a Hong Kong tailor, mixing and matching components from several standard product lines, fitting, adjusting, and hole punching, creating a perfectly-fitting and functioning custom rig, about forty-five minutes of exceptional customer service. And to top it off, the cop discount applied as well.

I give DPSS my highest recommendation. They carry high-end, professional-grade merchandise at reasonable prices, and give customer service that I haven't experienced in years.

Also, many thanks to Flintknapper for his helpful collaboration and recommendations.

wow! heck, it's nice to know a place like that even exists. I'll put it down as a must visit, if we get to the city again.

As they say here in East Texas "You done good"!

Glad to see you got what you wanted. That sounds like a wonderful place to purchase a holster, thanks for sharing your experience.

Thanks, Flint. The rig is getting to be very comfortable, the slightly-wider straps taking the weight of the .45 nicely. Concealment is perfect. Just what I needed.
