Is Campus Carry Still Alive?

Post by hombre gris »

Just curious, are there any campus carry bills on the floor of the house today for a vote? What about the Senate?

I have been following that thread, but I didn't see the bill on the house calendar and I thought today was the last day for the bills to go before the house.

SB 1581 is in appropriations. HB 3639 is floating around somehwere. SB 1581 has the main part of the language of 354 in it as an amendment.

They'll (House) be there until midnight today/tonight (Even if they pass a motion to stop/unplug the clock at 11:55 p.m. and midnight comes at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow --- they've done that before)

The SB has been received by the Appropriations committee which needs to meet ; Pitts, the author of the House bill is the Chair of that committee ... Pitts could have gone ahead and introduced his HB yesterday instead of waiting for the SB...the SB has to come out of committee to get substituted in for the HB
Senate bills will be heard after today if the HB doesn't come up *after* a committee meeting today which he'd need to announce

They haven't had "lunch" yet.

This is the last day for the House to pass its own bills. It can pass Senate bill for a good while longer.
