Plus size ladies carrying

Post by duke »

I was wondering if there were any plus size ladies and what method do they use to carry?
I'm a newbie and would appreciate your help.
Thanks!

Belly band, bra holster, and purse. Not always at the same time.

Another Burn Notice fan - Cool!

I would think IWB could be a possibility, too. Although it probably depends (doesn't it always?) on your shape.

It's my new exercise program - carry lots of lead and metal, and I get even more of a workout!

I like you're thinking!

I use purse carry and IWB or even OWB with a full shirt, depending on the situation/event/environment.

I wear a P238 in a wallet holster. I don't carry a purse so that option didn't feel weird at all. Its small, it's light, and it just looks like a wallet or phone or whatever in my back pocket. Pull your tshirt down and you can't tell a thing. For me it's been great.

Those of you who purse carry...where can I find something reasonably attractive? I have seen a lot of designer knock-offs and patchwork-style bags, but nothing simple or casual for every day use. Have also discovered that just about everything I find has a bunch of little zippered compartments inside, I'm more a "one big bag" kind of girl. Using my regular purse now, which is neither convenient nor practical as I doubt I could get to my gun in time to use it. Suggestions on where to look?

I like Coronado Leather concealment purses. They have specially-designed (lockable) holstering compartment. They're not cheap, but they are well designed, IMHO, and my first one has lasted over 6 years (think it is more like 7 or 8, but I don't remember when I bought it), and still going strong.

I have had several Coronado bags and a couple of Galco bags. All well made.

But I really like Gun Tote'n Mamas. These are exceptionally well made bags, and much lower priced than the others. They have been difficult to find in stores, but now you can buy directly from their website.
