Question about renewing

Post by Stephenrossr6 »

Whats up everyone! New to this site but iv read it allot. Iv done some research on here and have tried to find an answer to my question but I haven't yet. Found something similar but not what I was looking for. So here it goes, I am a 8 year disabled vet. I have done two tours over seas. After my first tour I came back took the chl class and got my license. A year later I deployed again. While I was over seas during my 15 month tour, the crap hit the fan, big bangs, lots of explosion friends died and I was admitted to a CSH (combat stress hospital) and was put on lexapro for a year. Well it's been 3 years since then. I'm coming up for a renewal in 2013 But here is my deal. Iv been having lets say stress and anxiety issues lately. Im not currently taking anything but my family would like me to. This would require going to the VA and talking to someone about getting back on. My Major question is would you guys think my being admitted to the CSH in Iraq for a month and going to the VA for Meds would effect my chl license renewal? Not being able to carry would really make me feel naked you know.

You are having stress issues, and your family wants you to get help. If you are having issues and are unwilling to address them you could be denied. This is a different than once having issues and fixing these issues, and having things under control.
