New Frontier Armory Lowers
New Frontier Armory Lowers
Anyone have experience with the New Frontier Armory LW-15 Complete Polymer Lower? I'm thinking of buying one but don't want to end up with something that won't work right or hold up. The price is enticing but if it's not worth the money I'll look at something else.

I'm thinking of getting one as a range gun with a 5.45x39 upper to shoot cheap ammo. I wouldn't trust it for serious use until it has a lot more history. I feel the same way about any new model gun or consumer electronics, so that's not a slam at the manufacturer. For $100+tax it might even be worth going to an anti-CHL gunshow if I was sure somebody would have them at that price.

Re: New Frontier Armory Lowers
Just an FYI, we've had some customers report issues with the Plum Crazy/New Frontier Lowers and 5.45x39 uppers. This is due to needing full power springs to properly set off the harder 5.45 mil surp primers. You may need to go to a full power spring kit to ensure reliability with that type of setup. We've never had an issue with customers using them for 5.56, 22LR, 9MM, etc (commercial or mil spec). We've had limited customers try it, but one customer told us he used a standard Plum Crazy lower and a 7.62x39 upper with stock hammer/trigger spring and cheap Wolf,Tula, Herters, etc ammo.Lambda Force wrote:I'm thinking of getting one as a range gun with a 5.45x39 upper to shoot cheap ammo.
