Finally had a chance to take my POF 308 to Elm Fork for some range time.
I stuck with 50 yards, for now, to get a feel for the weapon and figure some of the EOTech alignment out.
What a fun rifle to shoot!!

EOTech setup complete after 10 rounds. I'm not a great shot, so I need lots more work on my technique.
That just sounds like fun at this point.
There was a slight breeze out there today, but was from my back and didn't seem to swirl much in the lanes.
I shot both 7.62 x 51mm and .308 Win rounds thru it. All functioned great.
I did have better accuracy with the .308 Win, so its likely I'll stick with that round. Was shooting 150 grain rounds.
Total rounds was 80 and that was enough. Friends shooting to my left said the concussion wave was a little more than they could stand. So we took turn on the shooting lanes. I wasn't in any hurry.
Looking forward to getting back for more time. Even with the breeze it was still pretty hot out there today.
These rifles are nice looking rigs, but firing them is so much better!!
Have fun.
